What is Type II Collagen Peptide?

Type II collagen peptide is the main collagenous component of cartilage. It consists of about 65% to 70% protein and 30% to 35 % mucopolysaccharides (carbohydrates). The mucopolysaccharides consist mainly of Chondroitin, Glucosamine, and Hyaluronic Acid (HA) which are the vital components of joint cartilage and synovial fluid.

What is Glucosamine and what are its benefits?

Glucosamine is an amino sugar compound produced by the body and is mostly found in the cartilage. It is believed to aid in repairing damaged cartilage, building new cartilage, relieving pain and reducing inflammation.

In many trials and studies, glucosamine has shown to be effective in relieving symptoms, including pain and inflammation of osteoarthritis especially for those suffering from moderate-to-severe pain associated with osteoarthritis.

What is Chondroitin and what are its benefits?

Chondroitin, a naturally occurring molecule in the body, is another major component of cartilage.

It inhibits enzymes such as collagenase and elastase that damage cartilage and connective tissue, causing joint problems. It also enhances the synthesis of HA and cartilage proteoglycans in osteoarthritis patients, improving the quality of their joint tissues as well as enhancing the antioxidant protection against free radical damage, within joints.

What is HA and what are its benefits?

Hyaluronic acid is a Glycosaminoglycan (GAG) that is naturally present in the human body and is concentrated in the fluid of the eyes and joints (synovial fluid). It has immense water absorption and retention properties.

Hyaluronic Acid works by acting as a cushion and lubricant in the joints. It also serves as a free radical scavenger and an antioxidant; and may be particularly important in protecting the cartilage from free radical damage.

What is Beta-carotene?

Beta-carotene, a carotenoid, is a "pro-vitamin A" compound which can be converted into retinol, an active form of Vitamin A in the liver, when the need arises. Vitamin A, besides providing antioxidant protection, also helps to prevent exophthalmia (a drying condition of the cornea of the eye) and is necessary for proper eye function, especially night vision.

What choose JOINTFLEX?

JOINTFLEX is a natural product. It contains all the 3 major components needed to maintain and protect healthy joints and repair worn- out joints. The 3 components work in synergy to protect joints and treat osteoarthritis in a wholesome manner. It :-

  •   Supplies the material for the body to repair damaged and build new cartilage.

  •   Provides antioxidant protection against free radical damage.

  •   Inhibits enzymes produced by the body from damaging cartilage.

  •   Cushions and lubricates the joints and helps to reduce pain and inflammation.

Why do we need to take JOINTFLEX?

Osteoarthritis is a common inflammatory and debilitating disease for people over the age of 50. Normally, our body is able to produce glucosamine, chondroitin and hyaluronic acid for the protection, maintenance and repair of the cartilage. However as we age, our natural production of them diminishes and the amount produced may not be able to meet their demand resulting in joint problems.
